PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project involved the mitigation of stormwater overflows along Wellington Avenue, consisting of the installation of a two compartment 84 TON precast structure into an existing 66″ storm drain line. The structure included two slide gates, a tide flex valve and a trash rack designed to mitigate the inflow of sea water into the city’s existing drainage system while allowing for optimal stormwater drainage. Also required was the modification and upgrade of the existing 3′ x 8′ box culvert outfall.
