RIDOT – Newport Cliff Walk

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Newport’s Cliff Walk is Rhode Island’s most popular tourist attraction. The 3.5 mile scenic ocean walkway draws locals and tourists from across the country and around the world. Ravaged and rendered impassable by Superstorm Sandy in October of 2012, the popular destination was closed to tourists, hikers and joggers for more than a year. John Rocchio Corporation was awarded a contract to conduct repairs to damaged features and to fortify and strengthen existing features.
