Overview: The Blackstone River Bikeway, designed and maintained by RIDOT, consists of 16.4 miles and is Rhode Island’s second largest bike path. The path has been built in multiple segments since 1998 and is part of a statewide 60 mile network. This segment of path is known as segment 8C.
Work: The work consisted of .6 miles of paved approach on either side of the Blackstone river, pile supported abutments and the installation of a 182 ft. prefabricated truss style bridge. The bridge spans the Blackstone River between Woonsocket and North Smithfield.
