NEWMAN AVENUE BRIDGE – East Providence, RI

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Newman Avenue bridge is located at the Massachusetts border in East Providence, RI. It carries Rt. 152 over the James V. Turner Reservoir. The bridge was originally constructed in 1934 and has seen numerous repairs through out the years. The bridge was deemed structurally deficient by RIDOT and designated for replacement.
